Ukay Karyadi is The New ICC Chairman.
Jakarta (February 2) –Ukay Karyadi, S.E., M.E., has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Indonesia Competition Commission (ICC) and will lead ICC as of February 3, 2022. This decision was made through a Commission Meeting held today in Jakarta. Ukay replaces the late Kodrat Wibowo, the previous Chairman of the ICC, who passed away on November 5, 2021. In carrying out the new mandate, he was accompanied by Dr. Guntur Syahputra Saragih, M.S.M., who has been carrying out his duties as Vice Chairman of ICC since December 16, 2020.
Ukay completed his undergraduate education at the Faculty of Economics, University of Lampung, and S2 at the Faculty of Economics, University of Indonesia, with a specialization in Business Competition Economics. Previously, Ukay served as Vice Chairman of ICC for the 2018-2020 period. During his tenure, Ukay will continue to solve various existing challenges, both in personnel and law enforcement reform, as well as in the fields of system digitization and e-government.
