ICC Talked About Supporting Economic Recovery at The ASEAN Interface Workshop on Competition and Consumer Protection.

On October 6, 2022, The ASEAN Interface Workshop on Competition and Consumer Protection was held virtually by the ASEAN Secretariat. Participants in this event consist of officials from competition authorities as well as consumer protection authorities from each ASEAN Member States. This workshop discussed the activities that have been carried out by competition authorities and consumer protection authorities to support post-pandemic recovery efforts as well as the respective authorities approaches to addressing problems in the digital market that could impact multiple ASEAN member countries.

The speakers consist of legal community, representatives from competition authorities and representatives from consumer protection authorities. Apart from Indonesia, the speaker at the workshop came from Singapore, Thailand, Laos, Malaysia, and Philippines.

Taufik Ariyanto Arsyad, Deputy for Research and Advocacy represent ICC for the session on “Supporting Economic Recovery Together”. He explained Indonesia’s condition during the recovery period, the policies made by ICC during the pandemic, and ICC initiatives to support the government in the process of economic recovery.
