Sweden Ambassador and Undertakings: Fair Competition will Improve Investment Climate in Indonesia.
KPPU welcomed Sweden Ambassador, H.E. Johanna Brismar Skoog and the country’s undertakings to KPPU Head Office on 12 January 2017 to exchange thought on competition in Indonesia. Syarkawi Rauf, KPPU Chairman, said that they warmly welcome this visit and discuss about the development of competition environment in Indonesia and its great potency for investment.
“Fair competition climate is the utmost factor considered by Sweden investors to expand their business in Indonesia”, explained Syarkawi.
At the meeting, Syarkawi explained that KPPU accordance to the competition law is being provided mandates to safeguard the implementation of fair competition principle through enforcement, policy advices to the policy makers, merger control, nor partnership supervision. Syarkawi hoped that the investors shall not doubt on Indonesian competition climate.
“The Law No. 5/1999 guarantees fair and equal business opportunity, and promote the establishment of equitable efficiency”, stressed Syarkawi.
Johanna appreciated commitment from KPPU to promote fair business environment in Indonesia.
“Consistency shown by KPPU in doing their tasks as competition authotiry will bring positive impression to the investors”, said Johanna.
